Write
Tracked changes, comments and versions you can return to. Choose different spelling styles (US, UK, Canadian and Commonwealth) in one click, link references, fork and replicate different versions of the same analysis in what-if scenarios, insert references, tables, quotes, figures, and many more in your document.
Cite
References sit beside the writing rather than in a separate program. Cite in any of 17 styles, from APA and Vancouver to Nature, IEEE and The Lancet. Change the style and every citation and the reference list follow.
Find the evidence
Search twelve databases from inside the app, among them PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, OpenAlex and ClinicalTrials.gov. Inqerio also writes your strategy out for Ovid, EBSCOhost and Cochrane, so the searches you run by hand match the ones it ran. Screening, extraction, appraisal and a PRISMA 2020, PRISMA-ScR or ROSES flow diagram follow in the same place.
Analyse
Statistics in your own R, Python, Stata, SAS or SPSS, or in a Jupyter notebook, with each analysis tied to a plan you wrote first. A guided builder takes you from a data file to a commented script when you want direction, and the script is yours to read, edit and run outside Inqerio.
Test what holds
Forks run the same question several defensible ways at once and show you where the answer changes. Diagnostics run with the script and are read back in plain language, and under every test sit the alternatives for when its assumptions do not hold.
Code the interviews
Transcribe recordings, code the transcripts and build the codebook as you go. Thematic, framework, content analysis, grounded theory and IPA are all at home here, with memos, queries, coder agreement, charts and a write-up that carries your quotations.
Prepare ethics
A consultant reads your protocol and consent form together, points out where the two disagree, and checks both against TCPS 2, CIOMS or your own board’s checklist.
Work together
Share a project with up to five colleagues, end-to-end encrypted. Roles decide who may edit, review or only read, reviewers and coders work in parallel, and a single file sends a search, a review or a library to someone outside the team.
AI on your terms
Free AI runs on your own computer with nothing to set up. It sees only the files you allow, participant data is never sent without your consent, and anything AI touched says so.
